Worship Updates

Update on COVID-19 Actions: To help protect our neighbors and ourselves during this period of high community transmission, we are implementing the following short-term actions:

  • Masking Upgrade: Please upgrade from cloth masks to surgical masks or K95 masks as added protection during this omicron wave. Masks are available as you enter the sanctuary if needed.
  • All Administrative meetings (Trustees, COM, SPRC, etc.) will be held online via Zoom for the rest of January.
  • In-person worship (with masking and social distancing) will continue as an option. However, we suggest that the safer option for the next few weeks is to worship online via our First UMC Facebook page (or YouTube page) at 9AM each Sunday.
  • Outside activities and groups should also consider a temporary pause in in-person meetings.

We don’t live in a risk-free world, but as we have done throughout this pandemic, we seek to lessen the risks in prudent and careful ways. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven’t already done so, and please wear a mask in public indoor settings when others are present.
