Connect with Others

Life is not a journey meant to be taken alone and neither is faith. We believe that in addition to private moments of prayer and study, faith grows through mentoring relationships, group fellowship and study, and mission/service experiences.

Being responsive to the needs of both members and the community-at-large is important to us. At First United Methodist Church of DeKalb we seek to serve the people of the surrounding area in meeting life’s challenges via life transition support groups, mentoring, and youth activities that open a door to God’s grace and a relationship with Christ.

Love Connect Serve

When asked which command in the law was most important, in addition to loving God, Jesus said, “the second command is like the first: Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Matthew 22:39
