PRETZEL SUNDAY is Sunday, March 3. Come enjoy the hot-out-of-the-oven pretzels made just for you by our Christian Education Students.

MISSION SOUP SALE Ham & Bean soup will be available during fellowship time today, March 3, for a donation of $5 a quart.

SERMON SHAPERS will not be held this week.

ASH WEDNESDAY WORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Ash Wednesday is Wednesday, March 6. We’ll offer worship at 11 am in the Chapel at Oak Crest and 7 pm in the church sanctuary.

SOUP SUPPER will be held prior to our Ash Wednesday worship service on Wednesday, March 6. Soup will be served continuously beginning at 5 pm until just before worship—or until soup runs out.

FAMILY FIRST is held the first Wednesday each month. This month we’ll join with our Soup Supper and have a special Ash Wednesday craft afterwards. All are invited to worship with us at 7 pm. UMW CIRCLES meet Thursday, March 7. Anna Circle: 9:30 am, at Oak Crest, “Prayer and Self Denial.” Martha Circle, 1 pm, in the Dining room, “Prayer and Self Denial.” Ruth Circle: 6 pm, at Rosita’s Restaurant.

FUNDRAISER FISH FRIES For seven consecutive Friday’s around Lent, Faranda’s Banquet Center, 302 Grove St., DeKalb, will hold Friday Night Fish Fries (other food items available) with 10% of all dinner revenues being donated back to our local community. Simply download and print this flyer and give to your server. The next Fish Fry is Friday, March 8, from 5 to 8 pm.

UMM BREAKFAST All men are invited for the monthly UMM Breakfast. We next meet Saturday, March 9, at 8 am at the Lincoln Inn Restaurant. You may purchase your own breakfast off the menu or not, as you choose.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME begins on Sunday, March 10.Remember to set your clock ahead one hour before going to bed on March 9.

LENTEN LUNCHEONS Some changes have been made to the Lenten Luncheons this year. The luncheons will be Brown Bag Lunches and held three Wednesdays in Lent. A brief program will follow. Beverages and dessert will be provided. A donation of $2 is suggested to be given to Hope Haven and Safe Passage. Help us know how much dessert to prepare by signing up by the Monday prior to the lunch date. The first Lenten Luncheon is Wednesday, March 13, from 11:45 am to 1 pm.
