To volunteer

Homework Club resumes September 16! Sessions are held on Wednesdays in the lower Education Wing. New volunteers are welcome.

Each elementary session will include physical exercise/activity time, snack & story time, study/homework. Activity volunteers will be needed from 4:10–4:50 p.m. Homework tutors should plan to be on-site from 4:45-5:45p.m. A few volunteers may choose to do both.

Middle School Study Club (2:45-4:00 p.m.) will begin with snack and an informal time of socializing during games, problem-solving, or other focus activities, followed by approximately 45 minutes of study time.

Volunteers who are passionate about learning and are confident in math and/or literacy (reading/writing) skills are needed. Coaching on study strategies will be provided as needed.

If you care about kids, have an encouraging spirit and a sense of humor, and can patiently guide a child through homework, please consider becoming part of our team. To become a homework club volunteer:

  1. Complete a volunteer registration form (available in the church office or by clicking here).
  2. Complete a simple, no-fee background check through the church office. (only required every 3 years) Click here to download form.
  3. Attend a volunteer training session.
