What do Cub Scouts do? We go camping, bowling, fishing and hiking!
We serve our community with clean up projects and food drives! We learn
about our country, our flag, and so much more! You learn fun skills and do
projects in order to earn badges, belt loops, and pins for your cool Cub Scout
uniform! Parents! Pack 104 is the Cub Scout pack serves
Paul T. Wright
Elementary School of DeKalb School District 428, as well as elementary
school-age boys and their families of the greater DeKalb communities. Our
pack was founded in 1962, re-chartered in 2009, and sponsored by
First United
Methodist Church of DeKalb, and usually meet at First UMC. We have monthly pack
meetings and smaller den meetings. Your son will be in a den with other
boys his grade, led by their parents (and hopefully you will join in too).
All boys are very welcome.
Cub scouting teaches boys skills and values which serve them their entire
lives.
Cub scouting is a family-based activity. First grade boys join Tiger Cub
dens. Second grade boys are in Wolf Scout dens and third grade boys are in
Bear Scout dens. Fourth and fifth grade boys join WEBELOS (WE’ll BE LOyal
Scouts) in preparation for becoming boy scouts in mid-fifth grade.
Although many boys start cub scouting in first grade, all boys first- through
fifth-grades are welcome to join in any time! We’ll make sure they have a
great experience that they will remember their entire lives.
